Gants Hill? (Although no idea where the pillar to the left would be from if I'm right).

One suggestion is to have occasional 'Metro's around the world' quizzes. Having occasional weeks where we have pictures of metro systems from further flung places included in the quiz (or maybe as an occasional extra quiz alongside the regular).

Whitechapel has appeared a good number of times certainly. Is that the 9? Had a few Debdens. Was there enough of those? Puzzling over the others...

LTM? The mileage would correspond with North Weald or thereabouts assuming LU mileage...

It's so long since I've been east of Whitechapel that I wouldn't recognise East Putney now. erm, East Putney is quite a long way west of Whitechapel. Or at least on the tube map it is. Surely East Putney is the Putney in the east of London, just as West Ruislip is the Ruislip to the west of London, and South Harrow is the Harrow to the south of London...

Ok, not really what I was expecting to appear... It's a station on a Viaduct... Has an air of NLL or GOBLIN to me...

23rd February 2007... the plate's the same, but the background's different... [btw COLIN used "plate" as my search term in the two quiz boards]

I thought it looked familiar too, not totally convinced it is the same, should really be unpacking so I won't channel COLIN right now to check yet.

Definitely no daylight still at Marylebone! I did wonder about Paddington, but I defer to the expertise of the other contributors...

I'm a bit slow this morning... I was thinking 'Where does the WCML fit into this quiz?' Thinking it was where the M25 crosses near Kings Langley. Don't think it's even that bridge... ah well

Doesn't look like Canning Town to me... My thoughts are along the lines of DLR... but not sure where...

That is a very sad state of affairs! What would the main use of the connection be by the way? Think it has been discussed before somewhere, but a long time ago... IIRC it was to allow LU stock to be transferred by rail from UPM... And that it was to have been completed in time for some D Stocks to go that way for their refurbs...

Ok I agree now it is Ryde... there's an amusement park to the right of the hoverport at Southsea and a car park in the picture...

Oxford Circus? And I think there's a possibility it's the Southsea end of the route (Where I'm staying/working over these few weeks), however when i wandered past the hoverport it was dark so can't be sure.

This one looks really familiar... as in this pciture might have appeared before, (I'll see if i can find it). It is at least of the same station, the same platform, the same direction, a very similar position for the photographer and the same sort of number of people... PM on it's way with the answer... Edit: Here is where we last saw this view. So same occasion just ever so slightly different angle!

Well I concur that there might be some tampering going on. I think the right side of the tracks reminds me of the met somewhere NW of Harrow on the Hill... but no idea where excatly. Is the trick in making a four track section appear as two? or is the track from a different location to the sides. ChrisM has got us right confused today...
