If the link is closer to toilets than anything else... is it maybe that these stations have toilets for one gender but not the other? No, not as such gender related. It's something both myself and wife could do at the locations. Use the vending machines on the platforms?

Are the toilet facilities available to the public generally? ie no need to pass barriers to get to the toilets.

Waiting area in a compulsory ticket area? Or toilets outside ticket area as a guess...

I was going to say they all have baby changing facilities, but it looks like T5 doesn't That they all have baby changing facilities is the answer. I set this question (in terms of thinking up the link and researching the locations; I didn't select the pictures or make the modifications until the 8th of this month) about 6 months ago I think (I don't keep a record), but the TfL map has been updated since then so although I'm sure it was shown as having them I can't be certain. BAA's website though does state that all toilets "at Terminal 5" do have baby changing facilities, but it's entirely possible that this does not include toilets at the station (HEx's website doesn't make mention of it that I can find). In case you're interested the idea for a question along these lines came about when I noticed that at Baker Street the gents is inside the barriers but the ladies outside.

Aside: Are there any unisex public toilets on the combine?
