Its great that such an aged infrastructure as the Connaught Tunnel is still able to earn its keep but I always wondered whether it will become a longer-term liability. I hope not, as the service to south-east London is of strategic importance. The work was significant and really created a new tunnel.. Refurbishment and modification to the existing Connaught Tunnel and approach ramps, including converting the twin binocular tunnels into one large-bore tunnel, requiring the central section to be removed and rebuilt by ‘cut and cover’ method enabled by two cofferdams in the dock allowing dewatering. Upgrading drainage systems.

As we know, the passenger information screens (PIS) are above the platform doors.
Last Thursday I saw some of the displays showing information in a format that I've not seen before:
Alternate PIS displays showed this format and information in the more traditional format.
PS: Message edited in February 2024 because I've found a way to get Tweets to parse so that they are visible

Knowing the platform staff do announce the trains sometimes, they do tend to call out the stopping points on the service so I'm assuming its for staff reasons.

The trial was supposed to have ended in October - my photo dates from this month, January 2024.

The trial was supposed to have ended in October - my photo dates from this month, January 2024. It did end and went to consultation and they've chosen what to use now. The list of calling points on the right panel is much better than the hard to see route diagram. Heathrow destinations showing via Terminals 2 & 3 also better.

Thanks - so hopefully this will be used more often - but not everywhere / instead of the scrolling line version.

The new version is now live at Woolwich. Is it at all doorways or does it alternate with the older / original version?

As far as I could see, it was all of them, but I didn't go past door 9 on the westbound.
