All  The girls and boys are back to school which means that you’re going to see adverts for pub lunches soon and advent calendars are going to start appearing in the shops. rincew1nd has already eaten several trays of mince pies. As we said earlier in the summer before the mid-year meet social, this year’s date will be on Saturday 14th December so those of you who like to plan ahead really have no excuse. Sadly I won’t be there so for those of you who are admin averse, there may well only be three of us there. 😂 It’ll almost certainly be at Penderel’s Oak near Holborn and staff are currently discussing whether we can incorporate any interesting added extras on the day. (No that doesn’t mean doing a group oil change on Dstock7080’s birthdaymobile. More logistical information nearer the time. |

I love that film first saw it when I was about 5 and I even had the video back in the day! I won't be able to go to the Christmas event this year as I'm already going away for Christmas and I'd be skint otherwise. |

A warning to all those members intending to join us at this Christmas's meet, you will need to be wearing your drinking trousers...
From District Dave [David Maloney], SE13 , through to Phil and now snoggle ... we're likely to be on the floor within 5 mins... and there we will stay enjoying ourselves in their memory...
For those unable to make the day, no matter where you are on our planet, please promise to raise a glass / jar / cup / mug / salute (whatever) to the honourable members that have now sadly passed and contributed positively to our community

I used to go to this pub years ago, when it was a bit rougher and they had no problem saying the pub was in Forest Gate. I guess trendy Leytonstone village is more marketable, but the pubs still in Forest Gate, wouldn't chance the trip from Leytonstone 🙄 |

Hello everyone! Apologies for the rather short notice confirmation of this year’s Forum Social, but it is going ahead!
We haven’t been able to arrange a pre-social activity this year unfortunately, but, as usual, we will be meeting in the Penderel’s Oak, a short walk from
Holborn station.
We’ll hopefully be able to get a table booked, but otherwise there should be people there from at least 1300 onwards.
Can’t wait to see everyone!

I'm going to be much later than planned. Cane via the library to get prints. Library card needed renewing, now the computer has crashed...
...started processing but it'll take 10 minutes to do so...
...30 minutes later and it's processing page 15 of 30...
... finally printing. see you in about 45 minutes
