As of this morning (tuesday) everything above platform level at Primrose Hill has gone....even the shrubbery! There was no sign of work being continued on the platform,at least from my vantage-point on the bridge. All this begs the question....what's going on? Are they saving a few bob on ongoing maintenance by clearing the platform? Are they clearing the site completely for operational purposes? Are they preparing the platform for eventual re-opening with modern facilities? Or are they just keeping their options open? Either way,it seems a shame to destroy such a well-preserved facility at such a pivotal time in its history.

Cheer up - they've only demolished the canopy. Having no stairs and no entrance, the station wasn't exactly in readily re-openable form anyway. I can't imagine it'll make much difference either way.

It may have been an unsafe structure?

The current service is not good enough for Elephant - Queen's Park never mind Watford. Actually, when i was last at Queens Park there was a Bakerloo line train departing southbound about every 1-2 minutes. I dont see anything wrong with that? The service to Harrow and Wealstone may be awful at times though!

It isn't as frequent as 'every 1-2 minutes'. No line runs that many trains per hour.

For most of them yes! I imagine a few trains will linger on as spares for the Bakerloo and in case the Watford plan does happen. NO! They won't tear apart my 1967 Stock! Never!
