As soon as the Date is confirmed I think it's time to start booking flights and hotels for a weekend in London (Baby).

Will passengers be allowed on the crossover between the Vic and the Pic? From what Ive heard, passengers arnt allowed on those parts of the lines Is it a colour light signalled move? If so, then passengers are allowed. Finsbury Park Vic to Pic is a colour light signalled move, and will be part of the tour, so rare track on offer. lol

As after June, 67TS can no longer run on the Victoria Line. And 09TS have to be delivered by road, How likely there will be another railtour on the Victoria Line? Will there be another (passanger)stock compatible with the Victoria Line

That's likely to be entirely determined by the forthcoming Picc resignalling - if it's compatible with the Victoria then the possibility will remain, if not it'll probably be the last railtour on the Vic for a generation. Even if the Bakerloo is resignalled compatibly with the Vic, it'll also need to be compatible with the Picc to get onto the Victoria. This is of course unless a passenger stock is top-and-tailed by compatible battery locos (which may of course present length issues).

The latest Friends of the LT Museum's newsletter is quoting Sunday 15th May as the date of the tour with further details to appear on the LTM's website (nothing on there as yet).

What is your budget - London has everything from very basic hostels to five-star hotels? Do you want to be near central London, near the departure point of the trip (Walthamstow, Brixton or Seven Sisters being the most likely), near your arrival point in London (Paddington I'm guessing), somewhere quiet or somewhere vibrant?
Mods - perhaps this should be split into a separate thread in the off-topic area?

It's the weekend before the Rickmansworth canal festival with the 38TS and 'Sarah'. I have to earn some serious brownie points with the Wife if I'm to be allowed out for both! ;D ;D

they won't know 'quite' yet, as I believe as of yesterday the exact route of said tour still hadn't been finalised

I'll have to pencil that date in the diary. I recon I could fit a DM on my driveway... unfortunately that would mean the only way I could get out my house would be via the end doors. Might be a bit of a problem on shopping days! Oh well, so much for saving one

It's a shame they probably won't be allowed to do Woodford to Hainault again with a Central Line map attached. That's how I remember them, out in the leafy suburbs of Essex, Roding Valley and Chigwell, not stuck down a miserable tunnel for their working lives.
