Not being in any way a traveller, to know castles and rivers/lakes, I can only have a stab at the station. The fact that it is on a corner (combined with the architecture) almost gives it away. Colliers Wood. Just happens I walked down to Colliers Wood from Tooting Broadway on several occasions while working at Tooting Broadway.

I was thinking Hendon Central, but sounds like harlesden's quite confident...

Just Googled Hendon Central (images) and it looks much grander than Colliers Wood

I'm late to do this as usual. I thought CW, but since it's been taken I'll go for Clapham South.

castle looks like one of the Big Edward III ones. Harlech? Not on the Northern line as far as I know. Maybe the Met?

No idea on the Castle, but it doesn't look like Harlech to me. the middle inset is the Woolwich Ferry is it not?

The picture of the rowing boat looks like Liverpool or St. Katharines dock.

The picture of the rowing boat looks like Liverpool or St. Katharines dock. Not Liverpool, our docksides are a couple of feet above water level (makes it easier to get the cargo off). I don't think the castle's Harlech either, that's up on the hillside - not surrounded by moat. As for where it all might be, +3 for Colliers Wood.

castle looks like one of the Big Edward III ones. It was his grandfather, Edward I, who had a large castle-building programme in Wales. It looks like Pembroke to me. And another vote for Colliers Wood - if not, it's another station on the Morden extension (Just realised I've got the word "grandfather" in two consecutive posts!)

I notice that the boat is flying the Norwegian flag.

An inset still to work at, here are the answers and clues: Main photograph: Colliers Wood - exterior [Chris M] Inset 1: Inset 2: Woolwich Ferry [Chris M] Inset 3: Caerphilly Castle viewed from the western island [Chris M]

Is inset 1 York? (although the presence of an underground car park seems a little dangerous on the banks of the Ouse)
