The inset includes a showroom or perhaps museum for classic vehicles. The red van is a Minor LCV, possibly ex-GPO Mailvan. I don't recognise the location though.

Well done that man! I have just written a pictorial piece on LCVs [LIGHT COMMERCIAL VEHICLE] for my mag's next issue. I have featured GPO and Telephones vans in past issues.

The inset is the motor museum at Gaydon. As I said above the picture is a reflection in a mirror. The van is an ex Royal Mail van, you can tell by the Yale lock fitted on the door and the lack of hub caps.

The inset could be the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. The Royal Mail van is one of the last ones made and one of the very last is at the NMM.

That interior had me foxed as it ain't Beaulieu, and although I have featured BMIHT, Gaydon in a past issue of our magazine, it does not seem like it...then I had a brainwave that it looks like the Haynes Museum in Sparkford, Somerset.

If it's not Gaydon, then I can only think of either Coventry Transport Museum or the old Glasgow Transport Museum.

If it's not Gaydon, then I can only think of either Coventry Transport Museum or the old Glasgow Transport Museum. I'll take that, my sheet says: Glasgow Museum of Transport. Given that it's moved recently I think, I'm not sure of the full details, but as ChrisM took the picture, I'm sure he can elaborate.

The photo was taken in the old museum almost exactly a year ago. I don't know details of vehicles - I took the photo for it's artistic value!

The old Museum was at Kelvin Hall. We featured it in my mag's Museum Scene features. In the end we managed to cover almost all road transport museums in GB including some obscure prvately-owned ones. The Musum has moved as can be read here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glasgow_Museum_of_Transport
