This is with regard to the new system. When non-stopping through a station that is closed (or not booked to stop at, empty stock etc), will the trains still have to come to a stop and restart as is the case with the existing system or will they be able to pass through at reduced speed?

We'll have to wait till the next station refurb that involves closure like the Warren Street one, unless someone on here knows?

Once asset replacement is all carried out, the control centre will be able to pass skip instructions to the train carried signalling equipment via the DTG-R radio. The train will then pass through the station at reduced speed in auto.
Skip isn't enabled at the moment, so all trains will stop (in auto) if a station is closed for refurb.

So the skip instruction isn't via the PAC loop? What do the PAC loops do? Er, do they still have them? The last technical description of the DTG-R I had was dated 2001!

PAC loops were removed from the design in about 04/05!! Not much point in them when you have constant radio communications to and from the train. They would have been used for passing control type instructions such as skip to the trains, but this is now all done over the DTG-R radio.

on the central line am sure they just pass the station in Coded manual at a slow speed then come out of Coded manual then go into ATO

Jardine; on the Central the station skip instructions are given in the PAC at the previous, so there's no need to go through in CM.

Ok Charlie J , but i have defently seen out of service trains in CM pass through the station. Am sure there is a cab ride in a central line train in CM passing through the station i think its called Marble arch to totteham court road on Youtube.

The train may have been driven in CM due to an ATO failure on the train. Also, the skip function would mean that all train would skip that station - it cannot be applied to individual trains on the Central line. So, to avoid stopping at every station (as ATO would), the driver just drives ii in CM so that they can pass the station starter without stopping.
