Looks as if they are labelled 'NORTHBOUND ROAD', which I'm guessing will place them somewhere on a 'northbound/southbound' Line. The Piccadilly, and also the District, is named as westbound/eastbound (or inner rail/outer rail) throughout... and I think the Central is as well.
Don't recognise the location, and will be VERY embarrassed if it turns out to be on the Metropolitan where I drive every day!! ;D

I'm pretty certain it's West Ruislip, before the Central line modernisation.

Actually the location can be discoverd if one looks in the handbook for the line concerned. ( I know that's not a lot of help but we have members from most lines so a squint at the one for your line may detemine where they are)

Haven't got a clue, but I don't think it's any of the above.

Haven't got a clue, but I don't think it's any of the above. Well, as I've said, it looks like "Northbound Road" on the ID plate so that pretty much rules out any Westbound/Eastbound location IMHO! Have been checking numbers of Hamburger Huts on the Met (and bits of the Jub + H&C) but can't spot any logic in the numbering system. Does anybody know it works??

Certainly could be, as groups of numbers do seem to be bunched together.

Ever since I saw this picture i've been 99% certain of the answer, but didn't think of looking in the line supplement till I saw Q8's post. I can now reveal it is none other than...............................
Barking Westbound (platform 6), just past the station starter towards East Ham
Sorry PeteUXB - that blows your directional theory out of the window!! ;D ;D ;D

Thank you so much Colin. I knew that 3 weeks ago when I looked in the supp myself. I just waited to see if anyone else got there and when no-one did I decided to give a clue. They're passed daily by DR men who never give them a second glance. As Sherlock Holmes said 'you see, but you don't observe'

I bow to the superior knowledge (and greater sobriety?!) of the guys from the 'green' railway on this one..... and pleased that Hamburger Hut 914 has now been located!

Ah, but as you said (if it was on the Met) - we District boys should be feeling a little embarassed as it was under our noses the whole time and we never noticed!! ;D ;D
