Seeing as you all enjoyed the station buildings quiz, here is another of the same to tax you over the weekend. As before: - Identify each location
- Identify what links all four stations together
- Identify which of the four is the odd one out.
There are also [glow=teal,2,300] [/glow] availble for the insets. Have a magical weekend! Station A: (click for a larger version) Station B: (click for a larger version) Station C: (click for a larger version) Station D: (click for a larger version)

Juliang that makes sense because A is the station building at Clapham Junction (not sure on inset), C is a view from the station at Clapham Junction towards the large Debenhams store and D I'm not sure on but it doesn't look like Clapham Junction so I'm going to say that is the odd one out as it's not Clapham Junction

Left / lower half of C (I'm not sure which bit counts as an inset) = Watford Junction +1.

OK, one or two correct answers so far: Station B: Clapham Junction - stairs to platform 17 from subway [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Station C: Watford Junction - bay platforms from front [Chris M] (click for a larger version) None of the insets have been guessed, for the avoidance of doubt there is an inset in each image above. I will post some clues in the morning to give you all a little more time to ponder. <<Edit, sorry, forgot to include the answers to what you'd guessed. Clues to follow after Broadcasting House.>>

D's inset looks like the Matthew at the entrance to Bristol's floating harbour.
B's is Smallbrook Junction on the IOW steam railway.

D's inset may be Whitby Harbour
B's inset as above!

An accordian is playing Barwick Green, so it's clue time. But first you have correctly identified Inset B. Isle of Wight Steam Railway platform at Smallbrook Junction [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Now the clues: Station A: (click for a larger version) Inset A: (click for a larger version) Inset C: (click for a larger version) Station D: (click for a larger version) Inset D: For this picture, I'd like to know where it is rather than what it is; this will help you with the link/odd one out. (click for a larger version) As you will now see, the link isn't that they are all Clapham junction except D. Furthermore, D isn't the odd one out.

According to my answer sheet: Inset: Junction Road, Islington. View south from bridge over GOBLIN [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Apologies for missing it first time around. Oh and due to a slight glitch in the answer file (which is amazingly complex for this day, with the combination of clues and insets) I can't quite find the proper answer for D. However my answer sheet says it is: Norwood Junction - platforms 4 and 5 [Chris M] I'll leave the test card up as it's quite pretty.

Inset D: For this picture, I'd like to know where it is rather than what it is Swingbridge on Merchants Road, looking towards Cumberland Basin and one of the bonded warehouses. Better?

I think A might be Dalston Junction? They are all stations on the Overground with "Junction" in the name, except C which is "Junction Road"

I think A might be Dalston Junction? Takes the points They are all stations on the Overground with "Junction" in the name, except C which is "Junction Road" I'll give you some points for that, you have identified that they are all stations with Junction in the name. However station C is Watford Junction; the inset is Junction Road, Islington. So your odd one out is not correct. My answer sheet doesn't mention that they are Overground stations, so you can have a demi-point for spotting that bit. There is still inset A (which no-one has even tried) and inset D to identify. Whilst we're pretty much there with inset D but there is a magical word which not been mentioned yet that I'd like to see before I dish out the points.

Willesden Junction is the odd one out, as it's the only Overground "Junction" station not in the quiz?

My answer sheet doesn't mention that they are Overground stations, so you can have a demi-point for spotting that bit. Willesden Junction is not the odd one out. One of the four identified stations is different to the other three.

Perhaps Dalston being the only one underground? or for being the only 'Overground Only' Station out of those mentioned.

The odd one out is nothing to do with Underground/Overground, or even Wombling free.
<<Edit: that's not to say it isn't the odd one out though>>

Odd one out - Clapham Junction - the only one not in the place it's named after? (it's in Battersea).

So, this is what you have so far:
A: Dalston Junction - main entrance [Chris M] [glow=red,2,300]Inset: ?[/glow] B: Clapham Junction - stairs to platform 17 from subway [Chris M] Inset: Isle of Wight Steam Railway platform at Smallbrook Junction [Chris M]
C: Watford Junction - bay platforms from front [Chris M] Inset: Junction Road, Islington. View south from bridge over GOBLIN [Chris M]
D: Norwood Junction - platforms 4 and 5 [Chris M] [glow=red,2,300]Inset: [Something][/glow], Cumberland Basin, Bristol Harbour [Chris M]
The link between the main locations is that they are all stations with Junction in the name.
Station A is the odd one out, you just need to figure out [glow=red,2,300]why?[/glow]
