Hi folks, its been mentioned on here that there is a PIS code list available - if theres any chance, could a scan of one be made available? Even a previous pre December 2012 would be ver much appreciated. Thanks for any help you may be able to give me in advance....

The system has changed, each station having a two digit code. We now just enter the start and destination. Much easier to remember. On the ELL the station numbers are as follows;
70 Highbury 71 Dalston Junction 72 Shadwell 73 Surrey Quays 74 New Cross 75 New Cross Gate 76 Crystal Palace 77 West Croydon 78 Battersea Park 79 Norwood Junction 90 Clapham

If I could be cheeky, is there any way anyone could upload any photos of the PIS menu screens? Im working on something for a railsim mod and could do with anything on this as Im trying to create the menu system for it. Thanks again guys for any invaluable help, as always!

I wonder how the PIS would react if given something like 7450, New Cross to Richmond

According to the diagram it should give an invalid code.... The lines dont follow through so I asume it isn't a valid code. According to the system text files it isnt in the library (the same reason that it wont announce Battersea Park at the moment as there is no audio file in the directory for it). Believe this was mentioned in a thread, when engineering or short/unusal trips occur, if it aint listed it won't announce it. Occaisionally special codes may be issued but again this will only function if the recorded message is present in the library at the time. Mind you, on the other hand - it may give a destination and play the messages so far then get completely confused on the section of the new route ;D

Slightly of topic but rather than start a new thread as it is a similar request, would anyone be kind enough to give me the codes used on the Gospal Oak-Barking 172s please? Is it the same sequences?
Thanks for any help!

Thanks, I wonder if there is a PIS code that generates a message "Sorry Mario, but the princess is on another train"?

Any idea why there is a Canonbury 57 PIS code for (Stratford to Watford), (Stratford to Richmond or Willesden LL) (Stratford to Clapham Junction via Willesden Junction) but no code for (Highbury & Islington to Crystal Palace / West Croydon / New Cross or Clapham Junction via Canada Water)?

H&I- Code 70, CP-76, WC-77, NX - 74, CJ - 90. The codes are there - as stated, for example H&I - CP would be 7076, H&I-CJ via Surray Quays is 7090 and so on. Hope this helps!

Thanks, I wonder if there is a PIS code that generates a message "Sorry Mario, but the princess is on another train"? Technical fault on the train would probably be the clossest mach or the ever faithful sorry not in service ;D If in dire need, perhaps: "If there is a doctor, nurse or qualified first aider on the train, please contact the Driver using the alarm by the doors." would be more appropriate ;D

Interesting reading... are there also codes for the 'cctv is in operation' type of messages?

Here is a list of everything that a class 378 can announce, and the corresponding DMI text. This does not, unfortunately, include any ELL/SLL stations, as it is a bit outdated Here is a video of almost all of the above announcements being made ;D In addition, here is a list of everything the DVA at London Overground stations can say

There are only "codes" for routes, all other announcements are selected from a list.

This is only an inkling, but I suspect it's something to do with cross-overs; a train from the ELL wouldn't terminate at Canonbury but continue to Highbury.

NLL trains heading towards Stratford can terminate at Cannobury in times of disruptions etc.

"Would Mr Neptune please go to the Town Centre immediately" Presumably this is code for something?

I suspect Mr Neptune is related to Inspector Sands.

Why would 378's need to announce Brighton and Manchester Piccadilly?

I suspect Mr Neptune is related to Inspector Sands. At least Inspector Sands is quite subtle. A train announcement about a town centre... in a city?!?

They dont announce it, the list given was for the platform announcement system. The on train stuff only has place names that they serve. The alight/change for messages are made up of pre-recorded phrases which are joined together to make individual sentances. Other segmans could be inserted for destinations etc as emma recorded the voices for the platform stuff and ibus, so you could technically copy and paste into the library if you wanted to. As far as I am aware it will still not announce Battersea as the .wav file is missing from the audio file although I believe it exists in text form on the scrolling displays.

"Would Mr Neptune please go to the Town Centre immediately" Presumably this is code for something? Ditto "Would the Superintendent of the line please go to the Carriage Depot", I think
