Firstly, apologies if this specific question has been asked and answered before. Anyway, was back in my old stamping ground of Brixton yesterday and was wondering what kind of problems there might be with building an Overground station on the line just east of Popes Road. If the eastbound track was realigned (slightly north), would there be room enough for an island platform to be created for a station to be built? It would involve a minimum of relocation/demolition - just the cash 'n' carry on Popes Road really - and I would imagine that all of that parcel of land is NR owned already. Connections to each of the existing stations would require a bit of imagination - especially the NR - but the new one could be quite large as it could benefit from a wealth of access from the arches on Brixton Station Road to the east of the junction with Popes Road. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Realignment of a track on a viaduct would be a major undertaking. Side platforms would be easier to engineer.
Most proposals for an Overground station at Brixton have been nearer the A23 (for shops and buses) and the Victoria Line station. Perhaps the opportunity will come when the building under the viaduct there, adjacent the Victoria Line station, comes up for redevelopment.

There's a good report on the pro's and con's of an overground station at Brixton and how / what needs to be done to implement it: Here.
This report was only released a few weeks ago so it current, in depth study to possibilities of a new station at Brixton or Loughborough Junchtion.

It works for me. PDF pages 2, 4, 6 and 10 do have no content beyond the grey/white page style though, but this will be deliberate.

Works OK for me (iPad and Win 7 PC). Maybe you're on a slow internet connection and it's taking time to load content or perhaps you're browser is running an old PDF reader plug-in.

Able to open it now on a different machine.
A surprising omission was the possibility of re-opening the derelict platforms on the Catford Loop line. Even if crossing movements to allow LO trains to call there would reduce capacity too much, it would provide a useful connection between Brixton and both LO and Thameslink, via Denmark Hill. Indeed, in the up direction at least, South Eastern services could also call at Clapham HS and Wandsworth Road if the eastbound platforms at those stations were made double-sided.

Each page takes longer than I would expect to render using Adobe Reader. If you are using a browser plug in it might be taking even longer. Over the years I have found various minor issues when using browser plug ins and now default all PDF options (there are at least three flavours to set) to Adobe Reader.
