Right, well, C is definitely on the JLE, obviously. I think it is Canada Water this time. I'm gonna have to go for it again. (Though I thought yesterday's was the ELL part of the station, to be fair... )

You have A and C, that leaves B, D and the link still open. Answer: Location A: East India - entrance from footbridge [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location C: Canada Water - seats on Jubilee Line platform [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Clues: Location B: (click for a larger version) Location D: (click for a larger version)

B - Surrey Quays
Is the link that all of the stations have either a country or a county in their name?

Location B: Surrey Quays - stairs to northbound platform viewed from southbound platform [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Geography is relevant to the link, but that is not it.

Is the link dock locations (as in London docks)?
Would D be Limehouse?

Its not docks, but it is to do with the names.

Have they all been renamed, even if only temporarily, at some stage?

It's not to do with renaming.

Would D be Liverpool Street?

D is not Liverpool St, but you are very close with the link.

D - Devons Road?
I'm grasping at straws now as to what the link could be - 'mis'named stations?

Not Devons Road, though that would fit the link. Can you clarify your suggestion a little?

The only other ones I can think of that are named after non-places-they're-in are Boston Manor and Cyprus. Let's go with Boston Manor?

The place is less far from the station than either Boston or Cyprus

For D, The 'Temporary Sign' makes me think this is possibly an LO station. We've ruled out Denmark Hill. Don't think it's Cambridge Heath (and I believe not an LO station at this point so OT). There's not many other LO station names containing geographical proper nouns, so I'm a bit stuck. Some other places that might fit that link (but none of which I'm that confident about) are Gloucester Road, Oxford Circus, Edgware Road, Warwick Avenue, Holland Park, Preston Road, Leicester Square. But none of these seem to 'fit' to me...

Is the link stations named after places in London, whose names are from places outside of London?
Completely wild guess - Waterloo

May be totally off the wall but I seem to recall there was a Canada Dock in Bootle - I visited a HMCS Submarine there around 1976. Are these all names of docks in Liverpool?

D is a London Overground station, but it is none of the stations you name - it is not named for somewhere outside Greater London. The link is not related to docks, in Liverpool or otherwise (although that's not a bad suggestion for the future!)
