Rather embarrassing if that's Hammersmith, as I should be able to recognise it.
I don't recognise the extremely sharp curve(s).
I don't recognise the two structures so close together. (Unless the photograph was taken with an extreme telephoto.)
I don't know what the building with all the comms gear on top could be.
If it is Hammersmith I'm going to have to print out the photo and have a very good look next time I'm there.

I think it was, and that's why the curves look so tight. The comms could be on the top of the Grampians Hotel at the far end of Shepherds Bush Road

Start printing class411 We'll have to wait until Chris M comes on to find out what lens he used. Answer: Hammersmith depot - train wash from north end of platform 3 (click image for a larger version)

Answer: Hammersmith depot - train wash from north end of platform 3 (click image for a larger version) It's a couple of weeks 'til I'm up there next, so I had a look on Google Earth. It's definitely taken with a pretty long telephoto (setting) as the three blue/grey metal structures are nowhere near as close as they look, and the comms appears to look much more complicated than it does naturally because the foreshortening has made the two small clusters appear to be one large one. I'm still going to take a print and have a look. Just hope I don't get arrested! (Taking a photo might not look suspicious, but walking to the far end of the platform and examining the infrastructure whilst checking something on paper might worry someone.)
