Apart from the District line where Upminster and Barking drivers are not signed off to drive from Earls Court to Edgware Road, I'm assuming that currently, all drivers can drive on any part of their respective line. This begs two questions:
Was that always the case? I know, for example, that only Loughton (and latterly) Leytonstone crews were signed off for Epping to Ongar on the Central.
Are all drivers allowed to drive into all depots on a given line? For example, are Upminster drivers allowed into Lillie Bridge?

The Waterloo and City line is operated by Leytonstone drivers. As far as I'm aware no other Central line drivers are trained on it. I know it's not exactly what you were asking for but I thought I'd mention it.

Prior to 1992, Only Hainault crews operated the Hai-Woo shuttle service. And until its closure in 1994, the Aldwych shuttle was only crewed by Northfields depot.

Are all drivers allowed to drive into all depots on a given line? For example, are Upminster drivers allowed into Lillie Bridge? We do train all the moves initially, but taking Upminster as an example, we don't [currently] have any timetabled moves into or out of Lillie Bridge, nor out of Ealing Common depot (we do stable one or two there). We also have no timetabled moves in or out of Triangle & Parsons Green sidings though of course the latter is used regularly for service recovery so the west end of PG is usually no issue. All that being said, Lillie Bridge often features for Upminster during engineering works (it did so last weekend as it happens) and so does cause a number of requests for a pilot every time they timetable it. Rumour has it that Upminster will gain Lillie Bridge stablers from the next timetable change in May but it is only a rumour at this time and would likely trigger a mass hiking excercise (walk & talk) which Upminster management are not likley to be too keen on. If a driver dosen't do a move they've been trained on for six months, they're generally considered to need retraining. That retraining can take many forms from simply looking at a diagram, to viewing a video or even doing the move with an Instructor Operator or "pilot". Some drivers are happy to perform a move even after six months and thats fine too.
