I'll explain what I did with this photo when the answer is posted. Followed by an explanantion of how that S Stock briefly appeared outside 'Golders Green'. Under oath of course. No pressure....... The S-stock was entirely due to typing errors (24 not 29 iirc).

toby asked what distortions were used to create the question image. The primary thing you can see from the above unmodified image is not actually a distortion, just a really dirty train window! From that starting point I over-saturated the image (+100) and adjusted the hue slightly (by about +10 I think), then I saturated it even more (about +80). The next step was to add a bit of blur (5.0 horizontal and vertical). Finally I reduced the number of colours to an optimum palate of 64 with no dithering. All the modifications I do in Gimp.
