Good minoring all, Today’s locations for the quizzes look to be the approach to Wembley Park SB for Location A, approaching Westminster for Location B, Gunnersbury for Location C and East Putney for Location D. I think the link is that all locations are on the District line bar location A. I think that C might be Gunnersbury Junction. The link is that they are all junctions except for A because the lines are not actually connected there. A is between Preston Road and Wembley Park while D is East Putney looking towards Southfields. The above came in via PM. Between you you have all of the locations xplaistow and goldenarrow are close with there guesses for the link. Answer: Location A: Stanmore Junction - Jubilee Line viewed from southbound Metropolitan line train on local line [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location B: Minories Junction - view from outer rail Circle line train in May 2018 [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location C: Gunnersbury Junction - westbound District line train approaching Gunnersbury Junction [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Background C: Charter train in York station [ howda62 ] (click for a larger version) Location D: East Putney Junction - view from East Putney platform [Chris M] (click for a larger version)

I wonder if the link is junctions on the SSR lines, the odd one out being D as all the others are between lines operated by TFL.

You're nearly there with the first part, but D is not the odd one out.

B is the only one in Zone 1, and all trains through the junction are the same, unlike the others, is it that?

A is the odd one out because there is no track junction at that location, there are track junctions at the others?

The background is not relevant to the link or odd one out.

Link: These are junctions with the District line, except Stanmore Junction which is a former junction that doesn't involve the District line

Disappointing. I was sure that The Minories was the odd one out because all the others aren't 'The'.
