Does anyone know whether on not TFL are still inviting/considering proposals for major housing development on land owned by TFL in Acton which includes the potential to "relocate" the Museum Acton Depot - to somewhere unspecified. Back in 2020 Ian Visits set out some of the potential options being touted at the time. But I cannot see any follow up. www.ianvisits.co.uk/articles/london-transport-museums-acton-depot-may-need-to-be-rebuilt-38078/Has this idea now been dropped?

Very much still on the cards. ‘Relocate’ is not mentioned other than “accommodate the Museum’s requirements” which could mean temporary storage of artefacts and vehicles while a purpose built facility is built rather than the converted workshop now on the site.
Brook House at 100 Gunnersbury Lane, beside Museum Way, has recently been boarded up ready for demolition. TfL are also relocating staff car parking on the Acton Town/Acton Works site, in readiness for the forthcoming redevelopment of Bollo Lane south side.

TfL has a duty to preserve artefacts and vehicles but there is no legal obligation to display them to the public.

Well, “accommodate the Museum’s requirements” doesn't fill me with confidence.
