While reading through earlier threads about the timetables used during the Camden - Finchley and Camden - Kennington via CX shutdowns, I noticed reports that Morden, a three-platform 'reverse in platforms' terminus can handle 20tph, a train every three minutes.
Yet Edgware, a three-platform 'reverse in platforms' terminus with a similar layout to Morden, can only handle 18tph. I find this surprising, given the similarities between the layouts - is this because Edgware has dead-end bays instead of the through depot lines that Morden enjoys?
Ditto for High Barnet - what is its nominal capacity, and is it also restricted due to dead-end bays?

this could be because of how the track circuits are laid out. a train can be signalled into Morden a lot sooner after the train has left the platform than is the case at Edgware
