Does anyone have any information about the Mets original plan to electrify to Aylesbury before the LPTB took over and capped it at Ammersham?
Anything would be appreciated, even a source to enquire further at. Thanks!

It is recorded in "London's Metropolitan Railway" by Alan A Jackson, that the 1927 motor coaches were designed with electrification to Amersham in mind but I've not found anything about Aylesbury. It wouldn't have paid then anyway. |

In 50+ years of reading about LU, I have never seen anything about electrifying to Aylesbury.
Mark you, Watkin probably dreamed of electric trains from Manchester to Paris.....
