As many people know, The Friends Of London Transport sell (replica?) line diagrams that are seen in trains. However, I have a 1997 Bakerloo Line one, and it displays the Jubilee at Charing Cross, but not the Northern! Is there a reason for this?

The Northern line diagrams showed the Jubilee and not the Bakerloo line in the same way. I assume this was to discourage interchange between these lines due to the long walk, plus there was an easier interchange between these lines at Embankment and Waterloo.

For the same reason such interchanges aren't shown when the same interchange is available at adjacent stations on the same map; cf. the London Overgound thread, "Line Diagram (continued)" where I was advised (rightly) to miss off the Bakerloo interchange at Harrow & Wealdstone + Willesden Junction.
I assume on your Bakerloo line diagram that the Northern interchange IS shown at Embankment (therefore wouldn't be needed at CX). Whereas the Jubilee line *started* at CX, not Embankment, so couldn't be shown at Embankment - so would *have* to be shown at CX.

Thanks for the info! By the way, it also lists Silverlink as North London Railways.

Silverlink were briefly known as North London Railways post privatisation.

Indeed. I remember their briefly-used green-n-blue on yellow arrow and 'NLR' logo.

it would be something to do with the fact that the Bakerloo and Northern lines at charing cross were seperate stations known as strand - northern and trafalgar square - bakerloo they were connected all in one when the jubilee line opened. So you would expect a longer walk
by the way if your Bakerloo car diagram is circa 1997 has it got athe brown name strip all accross the top?

No it doesn't, but I'm sure it's 1997?
