That photo isn't real, it looks like a photo of a refurbished unit that has been edited. also why havent we had any dlr advert trains for a long time now? has it become too expensive? Could it be something to do with TfL? When TfL took over Tramlink, they removed all adverts that were on the trams, and I don't think there were any new advert liveries on DLR trains after TfL was created.

But all-over adverts on buses have increased.

An interesting question, that.
I thought I had a list of AOAs on the DLR from start to finish, and 34 and/or KLM isn't on my list, which I thought was complete.
All I have for vehicle 34 was an AOA livery for "Greenwich Maritime" which was launched on 19/7/01 until July 2003.
I will ask around to see if I missed it.

My retired DLR friend/colleague doesn't recall any KLM livery - a bit of wishful thinking on someones part, maybe?

It might just be me, but I'm sure I once saw a DLR unit in yellow with dark blue doors? Did this happen, or have I put the wrong brain in this morning...

There were two units that were yellow with light blue doors on one half of the unit, and light blue with yellow doors on the other end (they were 'Back the Bid' units, but they ran in those colours with writing and logos removed until they were refurbished). I don't think any other DLR units have ever been painted yellow.

There were in fact four vehicles that were in "Back the Bid" livery. Launched on 16.11.04 were 08 (yellow and blue) and 13 (red and white).
These were followed the following month by 92 (red and white) and 06 (yellow and blue).

Thanks, but I remember it being some time before 2004. I think it was 2001. So it's probably my imagination.
