I've only actually seen these on the Northern Line platforms, but they could be in use on others... stick-on roundels, bearing the name "King's Cross".
This is of course what the station is often known as, but not what it is called on the maps or the trains.
Is there a story behind these roundels? A mistake too expensive to discard perhaps?

I notice on the new September 2009 dated "Thames-less" Tube Map that the station seems to have been renamed with the addition of 'International' ? tinyurl.com/y9ttcnp

Very odd as they still keep the ELL as "replacement bus services" that were removed from the usual poster and pocket maps.

I notice on the new September 2009 dated "Thames-less" Tube Map that the station seems to have been renamed with the addition of 'International' ? tinyurl.com/y9ttcnpIn times past, Waterloo was shown on the car line maps as "Waterloo for Waterloo International". It sounds to me like they wanted to do this for KX, but couldn't fit "for St Pancras International" on the map. So in the typically inelegant and shabby way TfL does things these days, they've simply added "International" to the map. I don't really understand why every every Eurostar station has to have "International" anyway. Most Eurostar passengers will be aware of where they can catch their international train, and for everyone else it's a thorough nuisance.

On a related note to that, Calling St Pancras "St Pancras International" is rather confusing if looking for eg a Derby train - is StPancras Internation is this way, which way for St Pancras not-international.
