It seems I put the wrong link in the answer file for the unmodified version of image C, so here it is: (click for a larger version)

Sleaford train station [SE13] Sleaford what? lol. It is a bit awful out that way, I took that picture on my way to Boston for my diagnosis. Freezing cold, howling gale, and next to nobody around. I find it completely bizarre that I have to change trains there from Lincoln to Boston....... On the bright side, just to the left of the signal box there is a Spar shop selling 8 cans of Fosters for £5. Bargain! On a slightly different note, I always look at the pictures long before I post them and try to work them out. I took that one and missed it!

hehe, don't worry, I didn't recognise my own photo of the emergency stairs at TCR! I was more wondering what a "train station" is.

The inset in D is quite likely to be one of Dimitrov's pictures!
Absolutely no idea about the link - can we have a clue?

The inset is one of Dimiti's photos. I want a bit more than that though before I give it to you.
The link is a combined geography and history question.

I'm guessing Dimitri's photo might be of a russian orthodox monastery... but not been able to narrow down where...
Link between the stations: Thinking something to do with routes beyond that are now closed maybe, although not quite worked out where park royal fits in. But others are Epping-Ongar Mill Hill East towards Edgware and Green Park - Charing Cross

Dmitri's picture is not of a monastery, it's higher status than that

It isn't a cathedral.

If not a monestary or a cathedral then is it a palace, or part of one. Kremlin?

Well, it's not the Cathedral of the Not-Made-by-Hand Image of Our Saviour which is in the Winter Palace and I don't think it is the Palace Church of the Erection in Yalta - is it one of the Orthodox Metropolitans?
Hmm. Part of the Lavra of St Sergius? The Metropolitan of Moscow is the Archmandrite of the Lavra?

Finally - Colonel Palace & Bell-tower of St.George in Kolomenskoye, Moscow You've got it. Credit to Dmitri for the picture, and I'm sure he can tell us a bit more about it.
