There's probably already a thread buried somewhere on this site but as I can't find it, it's good to report here that replica 1930s signs are finally going up on the platforms at Aldgate East. All the pillars now have a miniature lined-out roundel each, for the first time in many years, as there were always one or two missing from theft in the past. Let's hope they've manufactured a few spares to cater for this in the future. Indeed, extra ones would surely raise a few quid for the LTM too? www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/4289544910/Noted yesterday that a start has been made on installing the rectangular "WAY OUT" signs which sat below the full-size roundels, and which directed to either Toynbee Hall or Whitechapel Art Gallery. These are in the correct upper-case white-on-blue and with "3 flight" Mexican arrows. A lot of "Stabler" tiles have also been put up, though maybe not quite as many as before? Let's hope they sort out the mess that is the 'A' End ticket hall soon too.
