I've just sent off two 'thank you' reports on the TfL website. On Sunday, we had to visit my Wife's Uncle in the Royal London Hospital. We got friendly, helpful service from the staff at Finchley Central and Whitechapel. The gentleman on the gateline at Finchley Central was really nice, and remembered us on the way back at 2220 (my wife chatted to him when we went into town at 1700). The lady in the booking office at Whitechapel was great in helping us plan an escalator-free return route to Finchley C..
I hope the staff concerned get a letter of thanks from their manager!

Provided you've given enough identifiying information, which shouldn't be problem on this occasion I'd imagine, the relevant staff will be given your feedback - that is the one thing stations management actually do rather well at in my experience.

Sadly they'll proobably be someone that gets moved to another station or may not have a job soon.

It's always good to give a bit of praise to staff. Sometimes we do have a moan and a groan (sometimes justifiably) but they all do some great work.
Just someone tell the Evening Standard that...

I was at Finchley Road the other day taking a couple of photos while waiting for a Mill Hill East train. A station assistant came over and told me, essentially, to clear off. When I politely informed him (and not in a know-it-all way) that I was just passing through the station and wasn't using a flash or a tripod, which were the only rules in the Conditions of Carriage about it, he didn't want to know. Pretty rude really, but not a new thing. A similar thing happened last month by an older member of staff, who I'd hoped would have known his rules better, or at least been more tolerant, at Rayners Lane.
