OK, So I was sitting in Canada Square, looking at the DLR, and I'm sure I saw a 4 car DLR train coming into Heron Quays from Canary Wharf, with 4 cars?!
It didn't look like anyone was on it, and it stayed in Heron Quays for about 20 minutes.
Hmm, probably just my eyes deceiving me, but thought it was worth a post to see if anything strange is happening....

If it was heading the other way, my guess would have been a defective 2-car train being towed by another 2-car train, but there heading south from Canary Wharf is away from both Poplar and Beckton depots, so it would seem an odd thing to do with a defective train.

It did seem strange, it stayed in Heron Quays for around 20minutes... if I wasn't with my dad I would have ran up and had a look...

If could have pushed the failed train into Heron Quats, then reverse, run a very short distance, through middle platform at Canary Wharf, to regain correct route into Poplar Depot.
Just a thought.

Funny you should say this, because my father-in-law stated he thought he'd seen that very thing the other day too.
