Hi... I have searched the forum and have not found an answer to this question.
At algate east (WB) and a few other locations there are two flasing orange lights between the rails. What are these for?
I think it might have ssometing to do with points but i'm sure somebody on here will have a definitive answer.

Nice easy one this actually Richard.
They actually denote either the start or finish of a Temporary Speed Restriction), and are placed just before plates also in the 'four foot' which show (at commencement) what the TSR is and at the end of it there'ss be another - this time with a 'T' (termination - resume line speed) or if superceeded by another limit that will be shown.
Indirectly (at least for the Aldgate East ones) do have a relationship to the points in that the limit is over the points - the next board's about a train's length past the points, and this is a 25mph.
As my colleagues will confirm they have a habit of suddenly appearing and then disappearing!
