Can Citysig/Harsig tell me if the platform indicators on the north side of the circle have the capabilty to show Dagenham Eats or Upminster?

Upminster can be shown at Edgware Road. We can certainly tell the computer to "show" the TDs but whether they show outside is doubtful. The same is true coming the other way. The Dot Matrix will not show District TDs (although Putney Bridge will show from Euston Square onwards). So that's another of your ideas put to rest ;D

Does anyone know if C stocks are actually allowed to go to Upminster?
I always thought they could go anywhere on the District, and Upminster is printed on the destination blind, but I've heard more than once that they aren't allowed east of Barking due to some loading gauge problem.

Afair. 'C' stock is not allowed to run east of Upney. This because that when they were being taken to Upminster (empty)for washing purposes a while back one of them at speed through Dagenham Heathway took the nosing stones off the ramp at the east end of the station

Don't C stock go to Upminster for HO anymore? If not where is it done now?I wouldn't have thought there's room for it at Hammersmith.

AIUI they no longer have a heavy overhaul, but instead of all the work taking place every 10 years, they do a quarter of it every 2 1/2 years, and it is indeed done at Hammersmith (despite what the Metronet website says , C stock have not been to Upminster for well over 10 years now)

Upminster can be shown at Edgware Road. Can it? Although i haven't been there for a while...since i've been dossing round the corner ;D We can certainly tell the computer to "show" the TDs but whether they show outside is doubtful. You've got me thinking now. I am sure the button is there. But I cannot recall seeing it on the TD panels themselves (maybe platform 1 only?) I haven't been there for a good while either, as I have been dossing working hard and doing all the stuff that is asked of us by those round the corner for years The one train each day that went east to Upminster used to run empty, so left as a "special." Could have sworn a trainee of mine once used the "in service" TD and got a call from Baker Street. Maybe my memory is not what it was. The wife kindly got my 2-year-old daughter to name some colours the other night, and when she pointed to my hair, my daughter casually said "grey." Think she was bribed into doing that, but didn't stop me jumping up and running to check ;D
