Here's one of Colin's signal pics (and keep 'em coming, Colin): districtline.fotopic.net/p23204364.htmlI'm having my usual confusion over repeaters here. Why is a fog repeater present when the signal already has a repeater on it? Does the fog repeater relate to two signals in advance of A909 A? Russ

If you look at the signal plates, it tells you that both the 'normal' repeater and the fog repeater both repeat A909b c, so indeed it IS repeating two signals.
There is nothing unusual about this when the signals are so close together, in this case they are the multi-homes for West Ham eastbound.

Thanks Alan. I must re-read my tubeprune.
Edit: For clarification, that repeater will show yellow if either A909b or A909c is showing red, yes?

Thanks for the diagram, Dave; you've answered my edit point I think.
I saw a sequence of telephoto pictures referred to here recently, which I believe was probably on that stretch of line, but I can't find the reference. Can anyone remind me?

Though i'm not exactly sure of what you mean, I can only find one post that would fit in with the request [of what I think you're after]- but the pictures in it have been deleted

its because the fog reapeater has a higher voltage and higher wattage bulb in it
100v 33.5W = fog reapeater 14v 12 or 24W(cannot remember if these are right) = main running repeater/signal
so in bad weather the fog repeater should shine a bit better
