Hello,
what is this for a sign!
a "chessboard" with 4 fields -> 2 white and 2 red fields!
i hope you understand me, i have no picture!

Sounds like a limited clearance sign - it warns staff walking along the track that there is not enough space to safely stand while a train passes.
