Services seemed to be :-
Becton - Poplar (P4) Woolwich - Lewisham Stratford - Lewisham
I was surprised to see the Beckton services heading back east from P4 at Poplar.

Surprising maybe, but possible surely... The DLR signalling is bidirectional, so presumably it makes sense to run it 'bang road' till the next crossover point (looking at moogle gaps satellite imagery, this is before Blackwall) than run it across the flat junctions to platforms 1/2, thus avoiding blocking the Stratford (and Woolwich) services...

This is the same as was happening yesterday (Saturday). It's also similar to what happened a couple of weeks back when they allocated a three-car set to the last Gallions Reach service. We were detrained in the westbound at Canning Town and then about 5-10 minutes later (after the train we were on had departed ECS) a two car set arrived OOS into the eastbound and departed bang road after scraping up the ~10 of us who hadn't given up and gone for a bus. The DMIs were initally indicating an arrival into the wb and then changed to "The system has now closed" and it wasn't until the unit arrived on the eb saying Gallions on the front that we knew what was happening.

This is the usual practice when there are engineering works on the West route.
