At Oxford Circus, I decided to take a look at the Bakerloo platforms to see if they had bothered taping off the Bakerloo Platforms or anything, when I get there, There are people standing waiting for a train, whilst the announcements about the RMT action is played every 30secs. Strangely enough they were all foreign tourists! Just thought I'd share my discovery

Out of interest, what is this strike over? And which staff are striking (drivers,.controllers, etc)?

The dispute is regarding a dismissed train operator, so I'd assume it's mainly drivers striking, although others may join in. I'm not familiar with this dispute, but Imagine the following page will have any details you'd want. www.rmtlondoncalling.org.uk/bakerloobranch

Use caution when citing political websites; they will, by their nature, be biased in favour of their cause.

I read the Service Manager's report yesterday, only one individual turned up for work yesterday morning. I think they ran a 5 or 6 train service in the evening between Paddington and the North, not too sure if they were running to Stonebridge or all the way to Harrow.
This action is over the victimising and harrassment of a union rep who also happens to be a driver. Whatever your politics, there is no denying the person received lots of support from their colleagues.

As far as I am aware, it was 5 trains c.16.00 to c.22.00 Paddington - Queen's Park. Stand to be corrected though - although LU tend to shy away from the "DC" north of QP during "adverse weather", which it was.

Seems as though this is the kind of thing that once upon a time would have just been covered up by the railway family.

Given the ET's findings, isn't an independant inquiry overdue into the state of the Bakerloo Line's industrial relations?

Given the ET's findings, isn't an independant inquiry overdue into the state of the Bakerloo Line's industrial relations? And the rest of the network too. Sadly, it's now the norm and has become considerably worse since the present Mayor arrived.
