If all S7s have the same line maps and can only be differentiated by train/platform announcements or destination indicators, is there really any point in the three services being regarded as seperate?
In these days of austerity, is it just the cost of printing maps and doing up all the stations to reflect it that prevents this from happening?

I think there is still some point. For example irrespective of detination, all WB Districts turn left at Aldgate East and go along the South side of the Circle, whilst H&C's turn right and go along the North side. This does add understanding for those - most - who are not going all the way to the final destination. Indeed if the S7 routes were all the same colour and name you'd need more description as to whether say, a Wimbledon train at Barking would be going via Victoria or via Edgware Road.
