I saw this as part of a caption for a photo and it got me thinking.....
Which is the least used platform on the LU network? The platform has to be usable -so not the old platform 3 at Liverpool St. for example. Any ideas?

Neasden Met line platforms! Used for detrainments when need be. Willesden Green was also re-commissioned last year, but I believe this has since been withdrawn,??
Another one could be Amersham platform 1? The Down (Chiltern) platform, or Harrow on the Hill platform 2, the Up Chiltern platfomr, as they're mainly used by them.

Yep ISTR it being used once a day too at the beginning of traffic but I still managed to get a call to a track failure in the platform one morning before going home from my night shift!

Another one could be Amersham platform 1? The Met line uses platform 1 at Amersham a surprising amount. It's often used when a late running train needs to be turned quickly, especially if the following train is close behind and needs to get to the sidings. Several mornings per week I see an A stock in P1...

Woodford Platform 1 doesn't seem to get much use these days... except for stabling.

Picc platforms at Ravenscourt and Stamford Brook are also frontrunners. I actually used the Picc platforms at Ravenscourt Park a few times when I worked near Ravenscourt Park for a 16 month period.

So Neasden and Willesden Green Met aren't actually in an opperational condition? I always thought they were just shabby and underused as opposed to out of commisson.
Out of interest when was the last regular service train to use the met platforms at them?

Out of interest when was the last regular service train to use the met platforms at them? Sorry, Neasden can be used, but the train operator needs to wait for station staff as some gates are locked up I believe. Willesden was re-commissioned for the Jubilee closure. It may still be able to be used for detrainments via teh butterfly cocks, I'm not sure though

When I was on Jubilee I was told Met line platforms at Willesden Grn can be used when the Jubilee is up the wall the OPO equipment certainly still works and platform is in an ok condition, lighting etc still works

I heard High St Ken platform 4 was very underused but I imagine it sees a couple of trains per day? Woodford platform 1 musy be very poorly used. Can you even get to platform 1 from the main line? How much use does Whitechapel paltform 6 get now?

HSK 4 was used and is used when there is Engineering works and Districts are reversed EB-WB. The Sunday we popped into town from Hounslow West we had the pleasure of taking a D Stock from Hammersmith to P4, and there was already a train in P3. I suppose Stamford Brook Picc is only used when there is Engineering works and the Districts are sent along the Fast?
PS: how about Kilburn High Road Up platform?

Kilburn High road isn't for passangers. As the LUL/NR station agreements states "emergency reversing takes place at this station. Use of this station itself by LUL is not covered by an Agreement"

Platform 4 at Northfields. Used only once a day IIRC. Oh, that's a good one! There is only one timetabled train a day that uses the East Local, and that is empty!

In that case, add Platform 4 at South Ealing to the list.

KHR has of course been used in the past when there has been Engineering work south of Queens Park. And railtours. To qualify, I am not sure whether trains ran ETY to and from KHR during the works.
I gather that the NR-LU agreement relating to Point Pleasant Junction to South Wimbledon has wording relating to the stopping of NR (SWT) trains in an emergency, and by way of authorisation as stated therein.
I cannot suggest Hatton X and Hounslow Central WB for EB services as we are not including directional variations.

I think Bakerloo line trains ran to Kilburn High Road during the Metronet strikes a few months back.
