As a new member of the forum and one whose main interests are modelling LT in 0gauge, I have a couple of questions regarding Fstock that I hope some kind soul can give me a definitive answer to. "In their final years on the Met and East London Lines, in which part of the driving cars were the guard's controls." Were they eg.,: a. in the driving cab with the driver b. in the old unused driving cab on what had previously been double ended units. Did these non-driving cabs still have a door separating them from the passenger area and was the oval window panelled over on these ends as had been gone on the Gstock to Q23 conversions.

The guards controls were only found on the double equiped motor cars (ie in the outer end cars on 8 cars). The rear windows were blocked up to allow the panel to be mounted there like the Q23 cars. I'm not sure what happened to the partition however.
The guard never worked from the drivers cab as there were no controls. The former double end cars converted to single equipped had the controls removed amd door sealed, but the rainstrip remained. The window had no top light either.
On the ELL to guard worked from double eqpd car on all occasions as a S/E and D/E car were used in the four car set. I believe 10 sets were adapted for the ELL service with batteries being provided in the S/E cars.
I think the bulkhead door was removed to the guards area.

many thanks for that Metman- I suspect I now have enough information to build one of these.

There is THIS THREAD with various chat and pictures regarding F Stock that may also be of some use.
