Just watched the little video's of modern day coupling and uncoupling of "C" stock. Goodness gracious ain't the business quiet nowadays, and a lot more gentle too. In my day there was lots of shouting and banging and air hissing a motors turning and all sort of cacophony. A coupler that you can add to the list is the Ward type. No longer used anywhere I beleive except some parts of India ands only used in this country by the MDR.
This was a mechanical only coupler that had clutches to ensure it was locked. You can see the type in the picture of my Avatar.
When I find the Image I will scan it and post it. It was used on all MDR stocks up to and including "Q" stocks and the west end of "R" stocks
