Riding on the DLR and I wondered, have there ever been or are there any plans to fit DLR stations out with proper TfL roundels like on LU and LO? With a turquoise ring obviously.

No guys, I mean on the platforms themselves, the station name on a turquoise roundel! It's always struck me as odd that they've only ever had those turquoise boards, when they had them on LO they were marked "Temporary Sign" - and then replaced with roundels in due course.

It's not in the TfL branding standards document, so no, there are no plans to use roundels on platforms with the station name inside them.

No reason to. In a lot of cases it would be difficult to with the amount of glass around.

If there were plans to then the new stations on the SI branch would have been designed and opened with them.
I don't think the amount of glass would necessarily be a factor though - see for example the roundels printed(?) on glass at Wood Lane.
The new South Quay DLR also has messages on the glass that could just as easily have been roundels. (iirc this was one of the answers to the early August ad-hoc quiz, so if you got it there will be a photograph of them on that thread. I'm not in a position to check)

Was that still there on your last visit? As I notice that it's an old picture as it's showing the LCA Shuttle Bus.

I'm fairly certain it was there a couple of weeks back.

Really? so the old DLR Logo is not the only thing wrong there, either it's a sign that's just been forgotten about or they're just trying to preserve history ;D.
