121 is now in service (coupled to 115 today). That means that these units are in service: 101, 102, 104, 105, 106, 109, 110, 112, 113, 115, 116, 120, 121. I'm a bit surprised that 121 has entered service when 103, 107, 108 and 111 haven't, especially 111, as I know it was delivered to Beckton depot last summer (you could see it from Armada Way).

Good. We'll soon be ready for the 3-car upgrade, I'm surprised at how quick the work is progressing.

They definitely do have better acceleration

So why isn't having some trains accelerating better than others a problem on the DLR, when it is on LU (the S stock's performance will be limited when it enters service, to match A stock)?

So why isn't having some trains accelerating better than others a problem on the DLR, when it is on LU (the S stock's performance will be limited when it enters service, to match A stock)? Presumably because the performance gap between the A stock and S stock is so vast that it would cause major service problems due to bunching. On the DLR it isn't as much of a problem as the acceleration can't be too different.

I would think that the automatic driving and, especially, moving block signalling on the DLR are key factors as well.

124 is out and about.

So, these units are in service: 101, 102, 104, 105, 106, 109, 110, 112, 113, 115, 116, 117, 120, 121, 124 and two others.
124 is the last unit of the first batch of B2007s. That means units from the second batch should enter service soon.

Ok, but I said earlier today that there is one more (18 now in service). So it now is: 101, 102, 104, 105, 106, 109, 110, 112, 113, 115, 116, 117, 119, 120, 121, 123, 124 and one other.
Is there any reason why some of the earlier units (103, 107, 108 and 111) are not in service yet. 111 was delivered ages ago.

It's nice seeing the new stock. Got on one at Tower yesterday - it was so silent I was worried it wasn't going to start!

118 is now in service (it was running on the Stratford branch with 117 today): i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm67/astock5000/DLR/IMG_1064.jpgI also saw unit 122. So that means at least 19 B2007s are now in service: 101, 102, 104, 105, 106, 109, 110, 112, 113, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123 and 124 (all of the first batch except 103, 107, 108, 111 and 114).

I agree with the above list except for 114, for which I have an "in service" date of November 2008. Maybe it has since been 'stopped' with some defect or other for a while?
At the last count, I had 103 outstanding to be delivered.

Maybe 114 is in service, I just said it wasn't as I haven't seen it in service, and no one else on this forum has said they've seen it (I did say at least 19).

I agree with the above list except for 114, for which I have an "in service" date of November 2008. I was on 114 on Wednesday, and it has the new DLR maps, that show Woolwich Arsenal (not the old ones with a sticker). That suggests that 114 entered service after the extension opened.

All of the first batch of the B.2007s (101-124) have been commissioned for service and have now carried passengers.
The first six (125-130) of the second batch have already been delivered but none are yet in passenger service.
