How many sets of C stock stable between the peaks and where do they stable? I'm trying to track down my last three sets. It makes sense to wait at Edware Road as every set will stop there at some point, but I could have a long wait if a required unit is parked up somewhere. This paid off yesterday, three of my five winners were all there at the same time, but all on different trains so I could only get two of them!

I may be wrong but I think Hammersmith is the place to go. I don't think any interpeak stablers will be found in the Triangle! There is Barking/Upney sidings too of course....

1 or 2 can still end up in Farringdon sidings if there is any service disruption

You can say that about any line - Parsons Green on the District......Acton Town on the Picc......Rickmansworth on the Met......all lines have places they can stash trains in times of disruption!!

They may be our inter-peak stablers, but if you're on the look-out for certain units, they can be put out on any train on any day. We are missing a couple of units at present due to a recent "problem."
During the peak we run 30 trains on the H&C / Circle, plus the 8 used on the Edgware Road-Wimbledon route. That doesn't leave much of the fleet in depot. Apart from some very occasional stock moves to Neasden or Upminster, during the day any spare stock will be tucked away in Hammersmith depot.

What is the nature of these recent "problems?" Or is it not really information for public consumption?

Shall we say there was an incident within Hammersmith depot recently which rendered 2 units unfit for normal service

Yes I understand that, I meant I would make sure to cover those in the morning before they park up because I would have all day to cover the other sets (assuming no failures). Are you at liberty to say which units had the incident at Hammersmith recently? Are they likely to return to service?
