Why has this service been curtailed at Canary Wharf?

This happened quite a while ago, when the DLR upped it's frequencies.
The Stratford - Canary Wharf service runs every 6 minutes during the day and 8 minutes at other times where the Lewisham - Bank service runs every 5 minutes so there would be regular clashes whether it be at Canary Wharf or Crossharbour.
