Now Gents lets see if you know the answer to this one?
Where on the DR can you still see (to the best of my knowledge) an original District Railway wooden semaphore signal post? (minus the signal of course)

ARGH!!! I know I've seen it somewhere!
Is it on the western side of the DR or the eastern side?

Now let's give you a further clue.
Any westbound driver on the DR will see this post (if still there) as it is in the daylight but below ground level. Assuming of course that it's position has not been built over.
Now the first prize is a Licorice lollipop and a sennapod sandwich. These are to help you run better.

It's still there (not in bad condition either)

Hehe, it's just a personal choice! I've always done it since I started on LU... The Jubilee Line extension tunnels were quite bright anyway, so I used to flick the cab light on and the habit has just stuck with me! Not sure exactly why I still do it! Maybe I like the company of the dodgy looking geezer staring back at me in the windscreen! ;D Not much of a talker though! Besides which, it keeps me on my toes... Much harder to spot yellows and reds round the corner with the light on, so it keeps me alert! Plus I like to see how many of the Circle Line drivers give me a pop whistle acknowledgment when I give them a cheery wave!

trainopd78 wins the first prize but does not state where it is. TheOneKEA is wrong so wins the second prize of a goose. Which finger would he like?

Let's give a further clue to the location. This post is best seen from the offside of an eastbound train except if you are a westbound driver. ;D

When you say a goose, I take it you mean the feathered variety. Being an Earl's Court (Ex PG) lad We have to be clear on these things. ;D Now that prize of a sennapod sandwich. I've just eaten in the Earls court canteen and the pastry was like a lead weight!! Where can I collect that sandwich and liquorice?

;D Mr AETearlscourt is correct. It is indeed approaching Sloane Square on the westbound. Actually I'm quite surprised it IS still there and hasn't been moved to the LT museum. ;D
