Really? How does one get from Earl's Court to the NC pray? There used to be a transfer point at Aldersgate (now Barbican)

Then the Farringdon photo was a good friday! Or possibly the Friday before Xmas True. But I'm asking: was it solely route knowledge or was there something more?

Now as for the '38 stock photo it's nice thinking but wrong. The normal transfer of stock from the NC was via Kings Cross loop/Highgate wood and Finsbury Park/Drayton Park. The reason for this one being at Earls Court is much more mundane A and D ends the wrong way round. 1970 IIRC (Got a book with the pic in so cheating).
