Just noticed on 6 month look ahead there will be no Victoria line service on the entire line Easter Sunday or Easter Monday. Any ideas as to what's happening over those 2 days?

Modified Saturday service following Good Friday.
Night Tube. No service Walthamstow Central - Brixton after 04.00 Sunday - buses Walthamstow-Highbury-Angel; Victoria-Brixton
Mon 17 April:
No service Walthamstow Central - Brixton before 10.00 Monday - buses Walthamstow-Highbury-Angel; Victoria-Brixton.

36tph MF peak service and extended 30tph operation on Saturdays Interesting RR bus services. We don't usually get buses beyond Manor House / Finsbury Park from the north end. Thankfully someone has appreciated that linking to Highbury is now important because of the Overground services. |

Appreciate that people from further up the line can change to the Piccadilly Night Tube at Finsbury Park, and that there are other buses from Angel to central London, but it seems an odd place to terminate a rail replacement service for the few hours of Night Tube operation. |

It is possibly the only feasible location as the 274's daytime stand will be relatively unoccupied. You can't stand or turn buses at Highbury because of the extensive bridge works and lane closures. The one stand that is available is used by the night 277 and even that is proposed for extension to Angel if the gyratory removal project comes to fruition. I suspect it's all down to practicality. There may even be particular heavy works for the bridge replacement taking place at Highbury as it is Easter weekend. (checks project page) |
