These appeared a few weeks ago and have now been turned on.
The Eastbound one says "See front of train for destination", whilst the West bound just says "London Underground", which is accurate, I suppose, and no one is going to be surprised where the train end up.
Does anyone know when these will be connected to something that feeds them with actual train information?

The see front of train message was common at Paddington when similar indicators were installed. Better now. The west end of the H&C is the first stretch to get the new signalling so it may have to wait for it to be commissioned.

If they do not install the new MAGIC interface I really do not remember what MAGIC stands for though you will need to wait for the upgrade of the signalling system currently being installed slowly but it is on the way

Thanks for the information.
It's not too much of a problem on that stretch of the line as there is usually a train within five minutes and if there isn't they are pretty good at making announcements.

Multiple Audio Graphical Information Controller found out today it's basically a interface between Trackernet and the newer style DMI's where the a traditional interface between the TD and the older style light boxes where not installed.

On another aspect of the Hammersmith/Circle Line between Ladbroke Grove and Goldhawk road, you can also see the next train approaching at the preceding station, as the alignment of the tracks and platforms makes this easy. Perhaps that was one reason why they were one of the last lines to receive next train indicator devices....
