I've been meaning to ask this for a while, but I remember reading a while back that the Vic ATO couldn't be programmed to skip a stop, instead you'd have to stop and restart. However, a couple of months ago we were told to non-stop Euston for whatever reason and we went straight through. At what point was this changed, and how many stops can you skip in a row?

When the DTG-R signalling was introduced a few years ago it changed
You could put a skip on all the stations of course except the terminal ones
Distance TO Go -Radio

Yes
The old signalling was not able to switch out a station as it only had braking spots I think it was 7 in the platform area from memory.
Newer signalling systems can just ignore a station completely but usually still slow down

You could switch out a station under the original ATO system(the trains would run through on 270 code)but could only be done for a day's traffic not individual trains.
