I had a go at putting Crossrail 2 on the Tube Map. You can see it in three sections below: At this stage it's looking less and less likely that CR2 will happen, and if it does it could have a very different route. The Tube around it could look very different by the time it's built, and it might not appear on the Tube map at all. In spite of all these caveats, I thought it'd be cool to imagine what it might look like. In any case it provides some context when visualising the 2015 consultation route.

It shows on my device.
I didn’t know you could show and hide images though. Bravo.

Still not appearing for me. I think it may be a permissions issue in Google photos.

Very good effort. I only think the South Western stations will go in the map if stations out to Reading also go on the map so we will have to wait and see. I think by the time Crossrail 2 happens, the tube map will be no longer and the standard map to use will be the 'All London Rail Map' but an alternative may come up at some point.

Bring back normal Tube map with just the Tube!! With respect, many rail journeys are not restricted to just the Tube network - Overground, Crossrail, DLR and tram are key elements of the rail network, and should be shown. Furthermore to optimise trip journeys (time and to reduce unnecessary travel segments), all rail options need to be shown. To that end, Thameslink (central section) needs to be on the Tube map. However TfL does provide printable map versions of individual networks (Tube, DLR, Overground, Tram) that greatly simplify the information overload.

Just for fun, I did also try making a version of the Central London map with Thameslink on it: The tricky part is squeezing Thameslink into King's Cross St Pancras - having it share a blob with CR2 isn't ideal in terms of geographical accuracy, but it is the easiest graphically, and it did look like the CR2 and Thameslink platforms would be closely connected.

alicarrThanks for this map - in terms of regional mobility, having Thameslink (effectively Crossrail 0) on the Tube map is essential.
