Announcements about engineering work

I've just taken a trip on the Victoria line from Green Park to King's Cross.
Departing Green Park and at and when departing Oxford Circus the train announced that at Warren Street there was no access to the Northern Line due to planned engineering works, and at Euston there was no access to the Northern line due to planned engineering works.
At Warren Street: This station has no access to the Northern line due to planned engineering works, at Euston there is no access to the Northern line due to planned engineering works.
When departing Warren Street: At Euston there is no access to the Northern line due to planned engineering works, London Overground is part suspended between Seven Sisters and Liverpool Street.
Approaching and at Euston: This station has no access to the Northern line due to planned engineering works, London Overground is part suspended. (no detail given, which is never useful but particularly not at a station served by LO)
Departing Euston and arriving at King's Cross: London Overground is part suspended between Seven Sisters and Liverpool Street.

This was generally good, if excessively wordy in addition to the usual announcements about interchanges, etc. and it didn't contradict itself about the Northern line either which was good. However, the Northern line was also not running from King's Cross and the DVA made no mention of this - it was even announced that you should change here for the Northern line. Is this just an oversight in whoever set up the DVA messages for the day/journey or is it a limitation in the system?

As I understand it, the service update / planned closure messages are signalled in from the control room to each of the trains, rather than the T/Op setting them up. This means the messages are, in theory, consistent across all trains.

I was just about to make a thread about these announcements. I took a journey from vauxhall to Finsbury park today

Between Vauxhall and green park it mentioned the jubilee line running with severe delays

Between Green park-Euston it mentioned London Overground was part suspended between Gospel Oak and Barking

At Oxford Circus, it said "the Waterloo and city line...Please stand clear of the closing doors"

Between Warren Street - Finsbury park it said "National rail services from Tottenham Hale are suspeded, please listen for further announcements". As long as I was on the train, these so called "further announcements" didn't come about.

There were also delays on the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines, the East London line was part suspended in multiple areas and Overground routes out of Liverpool street were also part suspended yet these weren't mentioned.

Why are status update announcements so irregular and inconsistent and why is the Victoria line the only line to recieve them regularly. I've heard them on the metropolitan line when I was coming home from Uxbridge but they stopped after Wembley park. They can sometimes become very long and I've noticed it won't announce things like step free access and sides the doors open when there are multiple closures etc to announce.

Most of those announcements are useless, as they are run during tunnel runs when it is too noisy.

To be fair the 2009 stock DVA is one of the loudest and clearest on the system and can usually be heard quite clearly in the tunnel sections.

I agree, the only place I've heard the 09 announcements get badly muffled is the approach to Brixton where all you hear is "The next station is.....leave the train. All change"
