My most recent youtube film shows trams at the National Tramway Museum, Crich, on an August 2003 day when there was a special event which included trams in operation after dark.
I was only there for the afternoon and evening and especially during the daytime the place was very busy and many trams were running - my film shows that at least eleven were in service (see below) but there may have been more that I missed. The view from the Bowes-Lyon Bridge suggests that open top double deckers were almost full to capacity - which is always nice to see!
Back in those days I used S-VHS video which offered an image quality that is more OK than wonderful. Also, I did not use a tripod and apologies but at times the footage is a little unsteady. As most filming was decided upon at the moment (ie: the tram is coming right now!) so even 60 seconds spent setting up a tripod and ensuring that the camcorder is level, etc., would have meant missing the tram.
Two trams are ridden - Blackpool 40 (a balcony tram) and Met 331.
This is a list of the trams which I filmed in action...
Chesterfield Corporation Tramways No. 7
Paisley District Tramways Company No. 68
London County Council Tramways No.106
Gateshead and District Tramways No. 5
Liverpool Corporation Passenger Transport No.869
East Berlin (East Germany) No. 223 006-4 (wheelchair accessible tram)
Southampton Corporation Tramways No. 45
Leeds City Tramways No. 399
Metropolitan Electric Tramways No. 331
Oporto (Porto, Portorgal) 273
Blackpool Corporation Transport 40
Enjoy,
Simon
